In 2018, A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation hosted the inaugural Midwest Lung Cancer Summit for patients and caregivers living with lung cancer. The steering committee (composed mostly of survivors) identified three goals that were important to the success of this event:

  • Provide people living with lung cancer real tools and education to help them on their journey;
  • Create a culture that leaves program attendees feeling hopeful about their future; and
  • Provide opportunities for people living with lung cancer to meet others on the journey in order to expand their support network.

97% of respondents evaluated the overall success of the event as excellent. In response, we are busy planning the 2019 event. You can expect similar breakout session topics and the same level of excellence from each of our speakers.

Thank you to Karst von Oiste for their Title Sponsorship and the Masonic Cancer Center at UMN for their Bronze Sponsorship of the Summit!
