The 11th annual A Breath of Hope Lung Run/Walk Twin Cities raises awareness about lung cancer and funds for drastically underfunded lung cancer research.
This event features a certified, chip-timed 10k run (new this year!), 5k run, 5k walk or survivor bus tour, live music, free t-shirts, snacks, kids’ activities, gift card prizes for top fundraisers and race finishers, an oncology update, resources for lung cancer patients and families, the Rose Raft of Remembrance Ceremony and a chance to honor your loved one. All participants (including walkers) will receive a t-shirt; 10k and 5k runners will receive a technical running t-shirt and medal. Prizes will be awarded to the first place male and female runners in the following age divisions: 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
Free t-shirts guaranteed for those who register before July 31st. To honor or remember your loved one and have their first and last name printed on the back of the t-shirt, register before Monday, July 31st. First and last names will also be printed on the side of the survivor bus.
Personal fundraising is integral to the success of A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation events. In 2016, individuals like you raised more than $80,000 to support innovative lung cancer research. You have the power to save lives! Please consider fundraising in honor or memory of your loved one, and help us reach our 2017 goal of $90,000 raised through personal fundraising. You can set up your personal and team fundraising pages during the walk/run registration process.
Early Packet Pick-Up
Friday, August 11th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Marathon Sports: 2312 W. 50th St., Minneapolis, MN 55410. Registrants, check-in early and pick up your t-shirt to beat the lines Saturday morning.
