Despite these harrowing facts\, the survivor numbers are climbing steadily – we are making progress! Still\, the average American doesn’t understand lung cancer and most cases are diagnosed late. It receives less media attention and less research funding dollars per cancer death than other cancers. We need your help to continue the work that drives survival. \nWill you take on the challenge? \nA Breath of Hope invites you to join the 2024 Climb For Hope Challenge\, our LCAM campaign to encourage awareness\, hope\, and learning during November–Lung Cancer Awareness Month. View Flyer \n\nHope Fundraisers accept the challenge to set a $ goal and raise money for the cause during the month of November. Hope Fundraisers are awarded points solely based on fundraising dollars driven into ABOH\, but encouraged to drive awareness about lung cancer as part of their goal. They recognized the need for lung cancer awareness and patient support. We are honored to expand to the SW Florida area and bring this annual event to Lee County and SW Florida! \nA Breath of Hope Lung Foundation was established in 2008. A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation’s mission is to raise lung cancer awareness\, provide patient and family support and fund innovative lung cancer research. While lung cancer takes more lives than breast\, colon and prostate cancers combined\, it remains underfunded and out of sight. Sadly\, we have stigmatized a disease that affects 1 in 14 Americans – smokers\, nonsmokers\, men\, women\, young and old. A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation believes every life is worth fighting for.
