Tom has earned a number of awards for news reporting\, including Emmy awards for his coverage of the plane crash of Senator Paul Wellstone and for stories that helped solve the 1970 murder of St. Paul Police Officer Jim Sackett. Tom was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Edina\, graduating from Edina West High School. He lives in the Twin Cities with his wife and four children. Tom enjoys building his backyard hockey rink\, reading\, golfing and running. He’s completed 29 marathons. \n  \n \nSusie Jones\, WCCO Radio and Lung Cancer Survivor\nSusie Jones\, born and raised in Southeast Minneapolis\, has been with WCCO Radio since 1996. While she has held many radio roles\, she is now back to her “roots” in the newsroom as a full-time reporter. She lives in St. Louis Park with her two children. In November 2021\, Jones was in a car accident that resulted in a trip to urgent care. A chest x-ray was recommended due to the impact of the seat belt hitting her so hard. Unexpectedly\, the x-ray revealed stage 1 lung cancer. While initially angry\, Jones now describes herself as being incredibly grateful for the ability to find it at an earlier stage when it is more treatable.\n  \n  \nBobby Jensen\, co-host Grow with Kare (Kare 11 TV)\nBobby Jensen has been a co-host on Kare 11 TV’s gardening special “Grow with Kare” since 1993. This weekly gardening segment has been a staple of Kare 11’s programming for over 25 years. Bobby opened his first garden center in Clifton\, New Jersey in  1976 at the height of the “green revolution.” He later opened a chain of garden centers and became well-known for speaking on gardening topics in the New York City area. In 1990\, Bobby moved to the Twin Cities area where he continued to learn and teach about gardening\, including the topics of sustainability and new technologies. \n\nPRIZES!\nRunner Prizes: Top male and female runner in each age category! \nTop fundraising captains and team!
