Hope, Eats & Joy Program

Chelsi, her husband Eric and their beautiful children; Alexis (9 years old) and Cooper (6 years old).

A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation is pleased to announce a new program dedicated to bringing hope, food and joy to those that need it most. Chelsi, a lung cancer survivor and longtime friend of A Breath of Hope has recently been moved into hospice. This has been an incredibly difficult time for her family and the COVID-19 health crisis is making it even more challenging. In an effort to bring a little hope, joy and essential items to her and other lung cancer survivors during the COVID-19 crisis, A Breath of Hope is launching the Hope, Eats & Joy program in her honor.

Because those living with lung cancer are at higher risk for complications resulting from COVID-19, this program is an easy way for us to keep our survivors safe and help them during this public health emergency. A Breath of Hope volunteers will shop for and deliver groceries (up to $200 value) and a bouquet of flowers to survivors. Our goal is to keep those living with lung cancer out of the stores and protected from Coronavirus as much as possible. ABOH staff or volunteers will pick up the groceries and deliver them, all within 48 hours of the initial request.

Are you (or someone you know) a lung cancer survivor that needs help getting groceries? Please contact Mary to get the process going.

Are you an ABOH volunteer that would like to shop for and deliver groceries to families affected by lung cancer? Please email us here.
