Abbie Begnaud, MD, University of MN

Dr. Abbie Begnaud is a pulmonologist and critical care physician who treats adult patients with interventional pulmonary and lung nodule, pleural effusions, lung and thoracic cancers and tracheal and bronchial stenosis. She sees patients at the M Health Fairview Masonic Cancer Clinic, M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center – Minneapolis and in the Cancer Clinic within M Health Fairview Clinics and Specialty Center – Burnsville. Her research interests include pulmonary nodules, lung cancer screening, central airway obstruction, malignant pleural effusions and endobronchial intratumoral chemotherapy (EITC). Dr. Begnaud is also an assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine of the Department of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

 

Andrew Burgdorf, MD, Allina Health

Dr. Andrew Burgdorf is a board-certified family medicine physician with professional interests in adult physicals and geriatric care. He is  the lead physician at Allina Health Buffalo Clinic.

 

 

 

 

Anne Melzer, MD, MS 

Dr. Anne Melzer is a pulmonary and critical care physician with a background in health services research.  She is interested in improving the quality of care for patients with lung diseases. Her research is focused primarily on promoting smoking cessation for patients with chronic lung diseases and who are at high risk of lung cancer.

Dr. Melzer is currently a Staff Physician with Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care, with the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System.

 

 

Jonathan Hovda, MD, Minnesota Lung Center

Dr. Jonathan Hovda graduated from Medical School at the University of Minnesota, where he simultaneously also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carlson School of Management. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and fellowships in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine and Interventional Pulmonology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.

Dr. Hovda has special interests in lung cancer and advanced bronchoscopy, including robotic bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
