Animated Lung Cancer Patient Program

We are pleased to offer you an Animated Patient’s Guide to Lung Cancer

  • Diagram with different types of surgery for patients with NSCLC
  • A visual that describes how lung cancer is caused and spread.
  • A diagram of places in the body that lung cancer can spread to.
  • The main stages of lung cancer
  • Treatment and management of NSCLC

Thanks to a generous grant from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, as well as a a Celgene Patient Advocacy Sponsorship, A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation (ABOH) was able to partner with Mechanisms in Medicine (MIM) to develop and implement an interactive, highly visual, evidence-based e-learning web resource for lung cancer patients and their families.

The Animated Lung Cancer Patient: An Animated Patient’s Guide to Lung Cancer  is unique because it delivers information in easy-to-digest segments for different learning styles. For some, auditory input is most valuable; others rely upon a visual style.  Whether the user of this product is a college grad or fifth grade student, they will learn about the diagnosis and thereby be better prepared to participate in discussions about their treatment and care.

Patients with lung cancer have innumerable unmet needs and care gaps. Our goal is to educate, inform, ease the burden of disease, provide practical decision tools and support patients and their caregivers during the journey.
