My wife and I donate to A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation primarily from my family’s experience with lung cancer. My father was a non-smoker, pastor, and dedicated family man; his health was very important to him. He was diagnosed with lung cancer on October 31, 2007 and passed away November 18, 2010. It was not until his care conference in his final days that we understood the lack of funding that goes into fighting lung cancer. After a couple of years of volunteering at A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation I was blessed with the opportunity to join the A Breath of Hope Board of Directors. We are honored to be part of such a great organization and blessed to be able to give to it.
We believe in the mission and the people at ABOHLF. “The people” goes beyond the walls of the office and includes all of the donors, volunteers, board members, patients, survivors, those not with us anymore, and so many more people. As the critical mass behind the organization continues to grow, the results we deliver will equally grow. Through ABOHLF events I have met some incredible people that have inspiring stories.
