Partnering with lung cancer orgs across the nation
to drive research and awareness during Lung Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM).

This year, A Breath of Hope is doing it up big in November and we look for your support to increase lung cancer research dollars, improve support and resources for patients and families, and educate the public.

November 1-30: LCAM Awareness Blitz – watch for billboards, PSA’s on TV and Radio, and a social media campaign that features our wonderful survivors!

November 9: Shining Bright Gala at Aria in downtown Minneapolis offers an elegant and fun night out with music, auctions, the lovely Julie Nelson from KARE 11 TV, and a chance to help A Breath of Hope celebrate ten years of research, education and patient support. More here.

November 17: Midwest Lung Cancer Summit at the Minneapolis Airport Marriott is a one-day educational event for patients and caregivers featuring presentations about new research, minimally invasive surgery, resilience, clinical trials, legal aid, fitness and activity, essential oils, faith and spirituality, nutrition, relationship care, grief and loss. Partnering with healthcare orgs
to screen more Minnesotans for lung cancer and bring needed education, resources and support to patients. Impact: Improved health outcomes, lives saved.

Minnesota’s Lung Cancer Thought Leaders from 20 healthcare and advocacy organizations gather Monday in St. Paul to discuss how we might work together to get more Minnesotans screened for lung cancer. Currently, 70% of lung cancer diagnoses occur in stages 3 and 4. It is estimated that less than 5% of Americans who are eligible for an annual low-dose CT scan have received even one. Research shows that annual low-dose CT scans lower the risk of dying from lung cancer by 15-20%.

A Breath of Hope is proud to be partnering with American Cancer Society and American Lung Association to host this event.

Partnering with individuals, donors and companies
to fund the programs that are saving lives.

Let’s face it. As a 100% philanthropy-funded organization, we can’t do our work without the generous support of our donors. For this group of faithful and new supporters, we are eternally grateful.

Raising money is a process that never ends. Nonprofits work continuously to find new donors while maintaining relationships and support from existing donors. Both groups are vital to our ability to make a lasting impact that equates to lives saved from lung cancer.

We are proud to announce that a new donor recently joined this movement and offered our network of donors the opportunity to increase the value of their gifts.

With a $20,000 Challenge Grant in support of the LCAM Awareness Blitz this November, you may be able to double your impact. From now until October 31, donations that are new or represent an increase from gifts in past years will be doubled, dollar by dollar, by this generous donor.

Thanks for considering this opportunity to double your impact. More here.
