Using Your Voice to Create Legislative Change: How to Tell Your Story to Make a Difference

Midwest Lung Cancer Patient Summit Presentation:

Britta Babel, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, MN Grassroots Manager

Britta Babel

Britta is the Minnesota Grassroots Manager for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). Britta cares deeply about people harnessing the power of their stories and ensuring lawmakers hear from their constituents about how policies impact real lives. Britta’s background is in social work and public health and dreams to make our communities healthier for everyone. She resides in South Minneapolis.

This session will be all about empowering patients, survivors, caregivers and others to share their story and advocate for public policy solutions that can support patients, prevent cancer, advance research, and more. Attendees do not need to understand the political process or policy work. This is a chance to harness the power of a story and find ways to advocate for change.
