When she was first diagnosed\, she was told she most likely had 12-18 months to live. Six years later\, because of research\, she is still here! This fundraiser is about raising research dollars to continue to provide life-saving options for herself and others. \nDid you know that the Lung Cancer Research Program through the Department of Defense was unable to fund over 70% of the research proposals in 2021 that were rated “excellent” by scientific reviewers? Lung cancer remains underfunded per cancer death compared to other cancers\, yet it is the number one cause of cancer death.
