The A Breath of Hope Lung Cancer Walk & Run has been supporting families hurt by lung cancer since 2007 when our founders hosted the first lung run/walk. This 5K walk and 5/10K chip-timed run has grown to be one of the largest lung cancer events in the country drawing 1500 or more walkers and runners each year. It is a fabulous family event in support of an important mission to beat lung cancer.

Mark your calendars for August 9th and plan to join the Minnesota lung cancer community at beautiful Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. Featuring music, patient/survivor resources and networking opportunities, lung cancer research updates, patient stories, and a chance to raise your voice for your friends and families who have been hurt by this disease – you won’t want to miss the 2025 A Breath of Hope Lung Cancer Walk & Run!

Event Itinerary 

• 7:30 a.m. – Event village opens; Check-in begins
• 8 a.m. – 5K & 10K runs start on the road
• 8 – 9 a.m. – Welcome and music
• 8:30 a.m. – Survivor photo in front of the stage
• 8:45 a.m. – Run winners announced
• 8:45-9 a.m. – Warm up and group stretch
• 9 a.m. – Opening ceremony
• 9:20 a.m. – Walk kicks off
• 10:30 a.m.  – Remembrance ceremony behind the bandshell
