TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM

Getting to medical appointments shouldn’t be another burden. At A Breath of Hope, our volunteer drivers provide safe rides for lung cancer patients throughout the Twin Cities metro area.

How it Works

Our trained, compassionate volunteers give rides to and from:

  • Lung cancer screenings 
  • Treatment appointments 
  • Other cancer-related medical visits

This service is free of charge for eligible patients and caregivers.

Before your first ride:

  • Complete the required waiver and participation agreement.
  • Request your ride as early as possible. Rides are provided by a dedicated group of volunteer drivers, so availability varies.
  • We will do our best to fulfill every ride request.
  • If we are unable to find an available ABOH volunteer driver, we will notify you 24–48 hours before your scheduled ride.
