She lives in St. Louis Park with her two children. In November 2021, Jones was in a car accident that resulted in a trip to urgent care. A chest x-ray was recommended due to the impact of the seat belt hitting her so hard. Unexpectedly, the x-ray revealed stage 1 lung cancer.
